SASKIA SLOTTJE (1973) grew up in Hoogeveen, a town in the north of the Netherlands – the bit that’s not Amsterdam. There she spent much of her childhood exploring the nearby fields, forests, and her own fantasy lands. She has a keen interest in cryptozoology and other areas between folklore and science.
Since the turn of the Millennium, she calls Gloucestershire (England) home. Working as a Data Developer for the National Health Service, she has a fascination for the interaction between technology and society. This she extends to magic in her writing.

Despite her busy day job, Saskia has always made time for writing, creating plays for the local youth theatre group BYDS, and contributing to ‘In Limbo: Brexit testimonies from EU citizens in the UK’ by Elena Remigi.
Her debut novel, WAYWARD WINGS, was written during the Covid-19 pandemic.
She is a member of the Wordmaids Writing Group, the British Fantasy Society, the Writers Guild of Great Britain, and Alliance of Independent Authors.
